Kelce (2023) – Prime Video

Amazon’s new football documentary is a blessing for every sports fan. One of the fan favorites in the NFL now has his own documentary. Jason Kelce, former center of the Philadelphia Eagles, gives us an inside look at the world beyond football. But while the personal life of one of the best players in history may be interesting, what happens on the field just can’t be left out of a documentary like this.

Some people say he’s the best to ever do it. Easy to understand if you ask me. When looking at his statistics and achievements he’s racked up over the years, you can’t convince me there’s someone better than him. With that in mind, it was about time Amazon or Netflix would make a documentary about this player. So, when Amazon announced this documentary, I immediately grabbed my phone and started texting my friends to tell them this amazing news.

Super Bowl 57

In the documentary Jason, his wife Kylie and their Kids were followed over the course of one whole season. From the regular season all the way to Super Bowl 57, in which he and his brother Travis competed for the Lombardi Trophy. The fact that both he and his younger brother made it to the Super Bowl makes this documentary even more special. Making it to the Super Bowl is one the hardest things to do in sports, let alone doing it at the same time as your brother, while you’re making a documentary. It’s the perfect recipe for beautiful stories and wholesome moments. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions for both the Kelce family and the viewers.

Regular dad

This documentary also shows that athletes who perform on the world stage on a weekly basis, aren’t invincible machines as some people may think. Outside of football, Jason is just a regular dad who loves to play with his kids and. He even grabs a can of beer when he feels like it. If that isn’t the definition of a regular dad, then I don’t know what is.

Are you still not convinced this is a must watch? I don’t know what to tell you, you’re probably just not a real sports fanatic. If you are convinced, the documentary is now available to all subscribers of Amazon Prime Video.
